Pop-rock trio Aliens Don’t Ring Doorbells have premiered the brand new audio-visual offering for their latest single ‘Story’.
Opening with the band members performing in a vast field bathed in a sunset, the video progresses with the telling of a tale about a young boy who spends his summer days going on adventures with his parents. The activities vary and include horse-riding, long walks, arts and crafts and transportation (however, I don’t want to spoil the video by revealing everything so you will have to watch to find out what happens!)
The mellow acoustic guitar, soaring keyboards and melodic lead vocal which at times reminds me of Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers with its radio-friendly chorus which makes you want to sing along loudly.
The cinematography of ‘Story’ is well-thought out with the full outdoor space utilised whilst the attention to detail from a mise-en-scene and costume perspective is of a high standard that you would see on a television period drama.
To summarise, Aliens Don’t Ring Doorbells have taken time to create and develop both the song and video so that the messages of family and togetherness are clearly conveyed and they have certainly achieved that.
